Talking about THE LADY AND THE PANDA on NPR: Discussing animal issues: The ER for wild animals -- a visit to the New England Wildlife Center. Includes scrubbing in for a coyote vasectomy with the incredible Dr. Greg Mertz. A little TV: Discussing dog training on NECN with Jim Braude, Leslie Gaydos, and Brian Kilcommons. It's the TV debut for my 10-week-old Irish wolfhound pup, Tally. A lively panel discussion on animal intelligence at the New York Public Library, presented by The Atlantic and PBS last fall. Scott Stossel moderated a panel made up of Fred Kaufman (executive producer of PBS's NATURE), Lynn Sherr (ABC News), Linda Koebner (author and chimpanzee expert and savior), author Eugene Linden ("The Parrot's Lament") and me. I absolutely loved this event -- I am fascinated by the topic and was honored to be among this incredible group of people. On this link, "Listen to the Program (part 2)" contains the introduction of the panelists, and "Listen to the Program (part 3)" is the actual discussion. |
